Krispy Kreme has confirmed that its Dundee store will be opening next week.
The popular doughnut shop will be located in the Overgate Shopping Centre and will open at 10am on Tuesday, September 29.
“After the great reception we have had in Scotland previously, we are excited about bringing a taste of Krispy Kreme to Dundee this autumn," said Judith Denby, the company's Chief Marketing Officer.
“The Overgate is a fantastic location in the city and and we can’t wait to welcome shoppers in for doughnuts.”
As with other shops around the country, the kiosk will store 16 different types of the doughnuts, made fresh every morning in Edinburgh then delivered to Dundee.
Malcolm Angus, Centre Manager at the Overgate, said he was delighted to bring the "world-renowned" doughnut makers to Dundee.
"It is one of the world’s most loved brands and we are already experiencing huge excitement from fans of these melt-in-the-mouth pieces of joy," he said.
"The brand will launch in style at 10am with the now customary Krispy Kreme Doughnut Dance to which all are invited, and with unprecedented demand expected, our advice is arrive early.”
Something tells us he might be right.
