Five Guys plans to open its Dundee restaurant within the next three weeks.
The popular burger bar chain, which has four Scottish sites across Glasgow and Edinburgh with plans in the works for a further restaurant in Aberdeen, announced in July it would open in the Overgate in the autumn.
Situated on the ground floor of the shopping mall in the former First Sport site, Five Guys now looks set to welcome diners in under three weeks time.
Malcolm Angus, manager of the Overgate said: "The provisional opening date is October 21 and the guys have been making steady progress. They are aiming to open by then."
Dubbed 'the Willy Wonka of burgercraft', Five Guys prides itself on using all fresh ingredients to top its stamped prime beef patties, boasting over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger in one of its restaurants.
Each restaurant is equipped with a Coca-Cola freestyle machine, which offers customers the choice to mix up over 100 soft drink choices.
