Dundee Football Club will live stream a match for the first time in its history tonight.
The Scottish Championship team, which formed in 1893, will offer fans from all over the world an opportunity to watch the game online - direct from their brand new website which launched today.
CEO Scot Gardiner spoke exclusively to STV Dundee and insists the whole team is delighted about the future of the club as US investors continue to see value in its assets.
Texan backers Keyes Capital, along with the Football Partnership Scotland, invested £650,000 into the club's bank account to help keep them afloat last year.
And the first project was to overhaul their website and social media strategy.
"The new design includes links to all the club's social media sites as we become more interactive with our fans than ever," said Mr Gardiner.
"We are linked up to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, we want to be constantly in communication with the fans, this is not only a big boost for them but also for the players.
"They're delighted to know that they're being watched from all over the world.
"We already know that our investors in Texas are delighted, they all tuned in for a test this morning.
"This will give us access to worldwide fans, and we know from our statistics they are everywhere."
The club hired Dundee firm MTC Media to redesign their website and after testing they will go live tonight at 7.45pm for their match against Queen of the South.
The club says they expect fans from New York, Sydney and Texas to be tuning in this evening.
The live stream is available to all exiled fans for just £18 per month via the supporters' society website.
And supporters in the armed forces are keen to use this service and the club says it is delighted they will be able to watch the action from Dens Park live whilst overseas.
They will also have live text updates during live play, giving fans who can't make the game the opportunity to keep up with the action as it happens.
It is expected that almost 3000 people will watch the game tonight.
The new design plan began late last year when the club approached MTC after learning they had redesigned the website for English Championship side Derby County.
“The website looks impressive, it’s clean and easy to use and really is a site to match the ambitions of everyone at the club,” added manager Paul Hartley
“What I was very impressed at was the new player profiles and match reports & stats which not a lot of other clubs have.
"I’ve been told the rest of our Youth Academy teams will be added, which will be fantastic as we look to involve them in the club as much as possible.”
The design of the website also allows the club's sponsors to take centre stage.
“We are very proud to be part of this project and have worked closely with the Commercial team at Dens for months now to produce something that will be the envy of many teams in the country,” said MTC director Alex McDonald
"Our own team has worked flat out to ensure every aspect of the new site was just as we wanted it to be, and we’re all delighted with the finished product”.
